. To Dad
(Written on February 2nd 1994, in the 7th grade -
excerpt from a birthday greeting to her father)
Behind every animal hides
A characteristic of my family.
So let's begin
The butterfly - Ya'ela:
She loves to be free
And do as she pleases.
To have her head in the clouds,
And to have a great time.
The dove - Mum:
The dove is mum,
Always calming our arguments and storms,
She wants us to be calm
Like a family should be.
She always says:"It's so easy to make enemies
but it's wiser to find friends".
The worm - Ofri:
He looks so innocent
But it's not so at all.
He's a real smart kid.
He can cause problems
But when he wants to,
He can be wonderful.
The tortoise - Dad:
The tortoise is Dad
Who loads everything on his back.
He has a double responsibility:
To earn a living
And the family too.
The cat - Bat-Chen:
Actually cats and I
Are really very different:
Cats are clean and neat.
And I'm surrounded by mess.
Cats prefer to walk alone
And I'm always on the phone.
So remember me as a special girl
who's a little different.
